Short description
The IC test system is designed for the measuremet of EMC behavior of circuits (ICs) at specific radiated or conducted disturbance influences and for transmission measurements. The test IC is tested in operation. The ICE1 test environment generates the functional environment of the test ICs. The respective measuring task is done with the appropriate probe set. These sets are not included in the scope of delilvery.
The test IC is installed on the test PC board. The costumer can prepare the test PC board (IC test instructions of Langer EMV-Technik GmbH) or the costumer can place an order at Langer EMV-Technik GmbH. The PC board is inserted into the GND 25 ground plate and via a connector connected to CB 0708 connecting board. Other ICE1 set components are: different ground adapter for testing different PC boards, connection board control software, an oscilloscope adapter for transforming measured signals in order to visualize them at the oscilloscope. Additional equipment for setting up IC test stations are included in the scope of delivery as well.

CB Control
Connection Board Control Software/ USB
The Connection Board Control software is used to monitor and control the test IC. The test IC is connected to the PC via the Connection Board. The signals are transmitted to the Connection Board Control software via a USB cable and displayed in the user interface.

GND 25
Ground Plane
The GND 25 ground plane ensures the RF-compatible contacting of the probe during an EMC measurement at a test IC. The GND 25 consists of steel with a gold plated surface. The recess (103 mm x 103 mm) is designed for the placement of GNDA ground adapters (GNDA 01-04) and TEM cell prints (100 mm x 100 mm).

GNDA 01
Ground Adapter 22.9 mm x 22.9 mm
The GNDA ground adapter is designed for the adaption of the test board to the (100 x 100) mm recess of the GND 25 ground plane. The test board is placed into the recess of the ground adapter. According to the size of the test board there are four ground adapters to choose from (GNDA 01-04).

OA 4005
Oscilloscope Adapter
The OA 4005 is used to monitor the test IC and to visualize its signals. It is connected with the CB 0708 connection board via a flat ribbon cable. The LED signals 1-4 and spikes 1-4 show the signals of the test IC. Furthermore, there are four connections for oscilloscope probes (CH1-CH4).

Accessories are needed to use the IC test environment. Among others, there are included the following items: a camera holder, a cable, a magnetic universal holder, a ground adapter, measuring lines.
