Langer EMV-Technik GmbH presents the latest release of the development-supporting software ChipScan-ESA. With the new version 5.1.49, available from July 2024, even more spectrum analyzers are now supported.
The software ChipScan-ESA is used for remote control of a spectrum analyzer and for visualizing and editing the measurement curves. With the current update, the following additional Rohde & Schwarz measuring instruments can now be controlled:
- Spectrum analyzers of the R&S®FSV series and R&S®ESW series as well as R&S®HMS-X,
- Measurement receivers of the R&S®ESRP series in spectrum analyzer mode,
- Oscilloscopes of the R&S®MXO4 series in spectrum analyzer mode.
The R&S®FPC1500 spectrum analyzer now also supports the tracking generator.
A complete list of all supported spectrum analyzers can be found under ChipScan-ESA Supported Spectrum Analyzers.

Logging of measurement results in proven quality
With ChipScan-ESA 5.1.49, an extended range of spectrum analyzers is available to record EMC measurement curves during product development in proven quality. The measurement curves can be offset against each other or with frequency-dependent functions, constants, and correction curves and exported.
Limit value curves can be created or imported as a .csv
file and displayed graphically.
Extension for 3D visualization
Also from the Langer ChipScan family comes the software ChipScan-Scanner, which now supports more measuring devices. In combination with the Langer scanners FLS 106 or ICS 105 and suitable Langer near-field probes, ChipScan-Scanner performs automated EM near-field measurements.
The measurement is carried out either in a plane or in the volume above the assembly.

ChipScan-Scanner creates measurements of EM near-fields for precise analysis.
